What is it? Continued…

The other day, I was reading one of my friends stories and she basically said to continue it if intrigued. So I got intrigued and I wrote my own continuation to that story.

This is the original post, Click Here

She is a very good imaginative writer so definitely check out her blog too. You’ll be amazed!

Well anyway here is my continuation of the story:

He was lying flat, on his back, watching the stars in the open sky.

How he loved these small escapades to the woods! Every necessary thing packed in his backpack – a small tent in case it rained, a sleeping bag and lots of mosquito repellant lotion.

There was no sign of rain, a pleasant breeze was blowing, stirring the leaves of the trees and the grass on which he was lying.

The moon was peeking at him hiding under scanty clouds, he fell asleep….

A strange flash of light woke him up, at first he thought that the moon was coming down on him….

The more he watched the moon the more he realised that it was moving closer towards him, the pleasant breeze became a ferocious beast clawing its way through everything. Luckily the tent was pinned down otherwise it would have flown up into the sky and danced around the moon which hovered slightly above him.

Suddenly the moon brightened and became so bright that the young man’s eyes was blinded by pure light shining down onto the grass. He covered his eyes and after a little while removed his left arm from his face that had become his shield.

“I’ve got to be dreaming…” The young man murmured as he witnessed the sight before him.

In the intense bright light something levitated down the light beam, it looked human. When its feet touched the ground the light disappeared and ceased to exist. The young man looked up at the starry night and noticed that it wasn’t the moon, the moon was up in the sky at a far distance, this was a floating machine that floated in the air shaped like the moon.

“What the -” the young man looked at the figure that approached him. It was a girl. The most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Her light brown hair till her shoulders, her eyes a deep chocolate-brown colour and her lips were deep crimson red and her skin almost pale. She tilted her head slightly to her left and examined the young man standing before her.

“Greetings. My name is Oceana, I’ve come here to warn you. Your planet is in grave danger.” She said still staring at him. She spoke coldly and without emotion.

The young man suddenly fainted and her eyes followed him, staring at him with curiosity, her pupils and iris flickered yellow almost looking like a pair of cats eyes and then back to deep chocolate-brown again.

“Humans. Fragile creatures. They fear themselves and are weak species.” She spoke in her cold and emotionless voice….

The Moonlight Thirst – Short Story

Yay I’m back. Sorry for not posting for a while or not liking or commenting on posts as I usually do, as I wasn’t feeling all that great and had a few issues to sort out. As for now though, I’ll try to catch up!

So yeah a new story is ready. It is another vampire one though. I wrote this for fun actually, as one of my brother’s that live in India wanted a story with his name in it. So this one is just for fun. But yeah please do continue to give feedback as it motivates me to write more and better myself . A thank you in advance 🙂

The Moonlight Thirst

Written by: Manvinder Jagdev

I stalked the streets, roaming through the endless possibilities of every avenue, street and alleyways. The moon was full and fat, the darkness shrouded every inch of the town, it was a dark night indeed. No one satisfied the urge within me that began to claw its way through the pit of my stomach, the thirst so strong that I could feel it trying to gain control of my being.

I turned the corner to a well-known alleyway, just outside the back door to a popular nightclub, the whole vibe of the gathering reverberated through my ears. The music was booming and crisp, the sound of many breaths enclosed in a tight space and the pure enjoyment of clearly audible conversations, but most of all that caught my attention…was a distant scream…and it wasn’t coming from within the club, but just around the bend.

The scream teased the hunger making the dark monster inside me force itself free, making my fangs appear. My hand went to the red bricked wall and touched its rough surface to gain support. I tried to fight the craving, my body shaking like it was suffering from withdrawal symptoms; my hand curled into a fist and pounded it into the wall. After a minute, I straightened up quickly, proud that I had won, and then stumbled over to the left turn, but stopped suddenly as I saw the perfect prey for tonight. A damsel in distress.

“Stay back! Otherwise…” She threatened. She was determined and firm in her decision to fight, but under that tough exterior she was very afraid, in fact she was scared. I watched her from the shadows fascinated, I leaned against the wall with my arms folded. Waiting. Watching.

How do I get out of this rut?” She thought, “I mean it, stay back!” She warned.

“Now that’s not nice, you were the one that started it. Now it has to end with you.” The head man of the group stepped forward with his hands on his hips, with a hungry smile.

The damsel was without doubt pretty; long blonde wavy hair till the middle of her back, deep blue eyes like the ocean, small slightly hooked nose, deep pink lips. Guessing from the way she was dressed, it seemed she came out from the club.

The leader of the group traipsed towards the young woman; I saw her eyes narrow, she was intent on getting out of this situation she found herself in.

“I hate to say, I warned you!” she said as he continued to approach her. All of a sudden she kicked him in the groin and made a run for it, as the others went to aid their leader, she was running in my direction. I stood there unable to move taken aback by what I saw as I misinterpreted her. She was fearless. She was a fighter. I liked that.

The closer she came, the more I could hear the sound of her heart racing, the blood coursing through her veins tens times faster than normal. I licked my lips as the hunger began to rise; crawling its way upwards till the monster would awaken within.

“You idiots, go after her!” I heard the leader yell and soon after many running footsteps began ringing through the alleyway.

She came to a sudden stop, panting. She turned around to look behind her and saw the other three members chasing behind her. She started to run again, but ended up tripping over an uneven slab, and without realising it, she had already fallen into my muscular arms. We gazed at each other and I began to wonder who she would have been better off with? Them or me?

There was fear in her eyes.

“Help me, please!” she begged.

The perfect prey was in my grasp, trapped. I could just put her out of her misery, I could satisfy my monster and the thirst. But something was holding me back. I straightened her up and stood in front of her, now becoming her protector and barrier from harms way.

“Who the hell are you?”

“I’m your worst nightmare…” I replied. I licked the bottom of my upper teeth as my fangs appeared. My hands entwined and I began to click my fingers, and with each cracking sound, the members of the gang cringed and eventually they bumped into their leader.

I smiled, my fangs were begging for a bite to eat and it so happens that I have many choices to choose from. As I stepped closer the members sidestepped away as I made my way up to the leader.

“Why are you harassing the young girl?”

“None of your business, boy.” He sneered.

I glared at him, I hated being called “boy”. My appearance might be young, but I am much older than he could ever know. He gulped with dread as he watched me, and yet he managed to gather up his courage and threw a punch at me. I grabbed hold of his fist tightly, he winced in pain as I twisted it hard, and sent him flying back into a wooden shed.

All of a sudden I felt a tickling sensation on the back of my neck, then the scent of a strong fruity perfume wafted up my nose and realised, the girl had followed me.

“How in the hell did you do that?” She breathed.

“Er, by eating a whole load of greens and vegetables and the regular use of the gym.” I blabbed sheepishly.

She stood, arms akimbo; when I turned back to face her. My fangs retracted, so she couldn’t suspect anything.

“Don’t give me that line, that is something you tell little kids!” she said.

“It’s true, I go to the gym everyday and do weight training.” I lied.

I turned back around and was seriously annoyed. Infuriated, I grabbed hold of the guy standing on my right and kicked him into the far wall. Then I sensed one behind us, with a broken beer bottle approaching the girl, swiftly I appeared in front of him and twisted his arm and heard it break. He fell to the floor instantly crying in agony. I reappeared in front of the girl and glanced at the last man standing on my left. He was trembling in his boots, he began to step back with every step I took towards him. I ended up lifting him off the ground and he began to beg for his life, squirming like a little pig, I was getting hungrier and hungrier as I sensed his panic; I could drink him dry right here and right now and my ordeal would be over. But then I realised there was a problem. The attractive blonde. Instead I threw him to the pile of stacked up rubbish bags and he grimaced as he scrambled away running for dear life.

I dusted my hands off and turned back around to face her, and there she was with the cutest smile, her eyes wide open and we were standing close to each other.

“Wow that was so amazing!” She clapped her hands together and her smile getting even prettier by the minute.

By the end of this I simply walked away. I was hoping to follow the squirming pig and finally get my meal, having virtually spent the entire night playing video games with my human friends, I hadn’t fed. I then realised I wasn’t walking away alone, she started to follow me. Her heels against the concrete ground was resonant and it was ringing loudly. The monster inside was slowly stirring from its deep slumber once more.

“Hey, where do you think your going?”

“Home…” I said

“OK at least tell me your name?” She requested.

“My name is Sehaj.”

“Sehaj. My name is Crystal!”

“Nice to meet you Crystal, just wish we could have met under better circumstances.”

“What do you mean by better circumstances?” She asked.

“Well right now, I’m super hungry and I have a certain deadline to get home by.” I looked up towards the brightly lit moon knowing that soon it will start to fade as dawn approached. I rolled my eyes and picked up the pace again.

“Why don’t we get a bite to eat? And that will be my way of saying ‘Thanks for saving my life!’” She stopped me in my tracks, by getting in my way, and by giving her cute smile again like she knew I liked it. The last bit of her sentence repeated in my mind over and over again, “a bite to eat”. I couldn’t control the thirst any longer, I felt the pressure to give in.

“Yes, let’s. I could eat more than ten plates in a buffet deal.” My eyes zoned onto her neck, seeing her veins pulsing with the blood pumping through them.

“So what would you like to eat? Chinese, Indian or Italian?” Her voice seemed unreachable to me and sounded like she was speaking in slow motion.

The next thing I knew, I was getting my high. The red salty substance entering my mouth. I could hear her screaming, fighting against my grip. Her skin was soft and silky. I saw the colour draining from her face, her fight to stop me failing. Eventually the senseless beating to my back and screaming ceased. I felt the buzz of blood circling through my body, the crankiness I was feeling fading and the urge and the monster deep within getting satisfied.

But then it hit me, what did I just do? I saw Crystal in my arms, lifeless.

What did I just do?” I thought. I just killed the girl I just saved!

“Crystal, wake up!” I shouted as I gently tapped the side of her face. Her eyes looked at me, but they were cold.

There is only one thing I can do to make this right!” I thought. I lifted up the sleeve to my coat and bit into my own flesh and ripped at it to let the blood flow out. I gingerly put it towards her mouth and let my blood drip effortlessly into her.

“This better work!” I growled.

2 Hours Later

I paced the apartment, wondering when the hell she would wake up. This was the first time I had ever created another vampire. I went up to the bed and sat at her side, still no sign of life.

I got up and ambled over to the fridge and looked at my blood supply.

“Hmm what do I fancy drinking now?” I still couldn’t get the taste of Crystals blood out from my mouth as it tasted sweet.

I just happened to pick up a bottle of O negative when I sensed another presence in the room, I closed the fridge door and turned around and found her standing in front of me. Again we were standing close to one another. She stared at me, and then at the blood in my hand.

“Crystal?”

“Why do I feel so weird?” She said, “I can hear things from far away that aren’t even in this apartment, my vision is so clear that I can see details that normal vision can’t, and there is this constant pounding in my ears!” she covered her ears and she shut her eyes tightly.

“You are probably going to hate me, but after saving you, I kind of killed you…”

“What?”

“But then I saved you again…”

“OK I’m seriously not in the mood for games, Sehaj! What are you talking about?” She raised her voice.

“To put the long story short…you’re a vampire now.” I saw her face transform from confused to complete horror.

“Vampire? Are you bloody mad?!”

“Nope, how do you think I got the strength to shove a guy into a wooden shed from such a distance? No normal man can do that.”

“Oh, just shut up! You are crazy! Mad!” She shouted.

The next thing I knew she growled in frustration and dashed over towards the small dining table and picked up a coffee mug and threw it straight at me. Me being me, I caught it within my grasp so tight that it crushed into a million pieces before me.

“Finished your tantrum? Now my turn!” Within one second I was in front of her, I picked her up by her neck, she wasn’t even gasping for breath like a normal person would, she glared at me and kicked me in the lower abdomen and sent me flying, big cracks appearing on the wall behind me, the next thing I knew she was in front of me, expressionless.

“Believe me now? A normal person can’t do what you just did. I saved you, I’ve given you a gift. Now you can fight your own battles. You had the strength in you the whole time, I’ve just given you the power.” I told her.

I gently tucked her strand of loose hair behind her ear and I lowered my head and whispered into her ear, “Welcome to my world…”

So there you have it. What did you guys think? The original draft for this story was really rushed and it took me a week to better it. To be precise I had made 3 drafts trying to make it better. But now I’m satisfied with the result!

Destiny – Short Story

So here is another short story written by me. This is quite a bizarre story, and again quite dark. It isn’t anything to do with vampires though, I guess you could say it is more of a horror story. So anyway I’ll move aside and you can read it. Please do leave feedback as that is why I post my stories on here. And if you want to give suggestions on improvement, that would be great! 🙂

Destiny – A Short Story

Written by: Manvinder Jagdev

It was a dark night. Cold. The bitter wind whispering silently like a ghost’s murmur in a haunted mansion. Along the long stretch of road, the main road, there was only one car driving at 30mph; it seemed the rest of the town was deserted.

The music blared out from the car, echoing through the emptiness that was presented to the young man that drove. His fingers were drumming on the steering wheel to the beat of the music. He had to keep himself amused somehow.

He glanced slightly to his right to the distance in front of him and saw a figure standing on the edge of the road looking in his particular direction. The figure lifted out their hand and hoped for a ride.

Great a hitch-hiker! What to do?” His fingers stopped tapping the steering wheel, he watched the hitch-hiker and noticed that it was a she. Her long locks flowing freely with the biting wind. He drove past, but then stopped, and reversed the car to stop in front of her.

It’s late, it’s dark and she might not be able to find another ride keeping in mind this place is deserted.” He thought to himself.

The girl opened the door and brought a cold draught into the car with her. Her face sore and red by the cold wind. He noted how she smelt of spring, and wet grass.

“So where are you heading?” He asked.

“Thanks for this. I’m actually going to need this lift for quite a while actually. I hope you don’t mind?” She smiled.

“No, it’s fine. Don’t worry about it. So what’s your name?” He asked as he drove off and entered onto the long continuous straight road again.

“My name is Destiny.”

“Seriously? Destiny?”

“Yeah, tell me about it. But I like it, it’s…to a certain extent…different. So what’s your name?” She looked at his general direction.

“My name is Paul.”

“Well it is very nice to meet you, Paul.”

“So what were you doing out here, at such an abandoned place at such a late time?” Paul asked curiously, and glanced over to her for a split second and then put his attention back on the road. He put the heat up as he saw that she was still cold, shivering with the chill still in her bones.

“I came out here to see my uncle. He is a forest type person,” She shyly smiled “And it turned out to be a complete waste of time as he wasn’t home, he had to do a consultation.”

“A consultation? During the middle of the night?” Paul was bewildered by that, first time he had heard of someone doing a consultation during night hours, “So what type of consultation is he doing?”

“Your going to find this strange, but my uncle…he predicts people’s futures.” Destiny watched Paul’s face and saw the wide eyed expression.

“My uncle is a rather popular man…It’s not just him, but I can do that too.” She smiled, but her eyes were serious and a shudder ran down Paul’s spine, the hairs on his back sticking up.

“Really now? So could you predict my future then?” He asked out of curiosity, but he knew she was lying, no one can predict the future unless you are a supernatural being or a witch. Which by the way, none of those exist.

“OK, you will keep on driving down this endless straight road, eventually you will begin to get tired, your eyes will become heavy and soon for a split second end up sleeping behind the wheel, but when your eyes open you will meet your end by crashing into a lorry and a cut tree log will impale through the window and squish you like a pancake.” Her face was solemn, and her dark brown eyes almost seemed black like an endless pit of darkness. Paul took his eyes of the road for another split second and gaped at her, but his eyes were filled with fear. Destiny’s eyes became their normal dark brown again and she suddenly burst into laughter, giggling like a teenager.

“You should have seen your face. You looked almost petrified and pale. Darling I was joking with you.” She continued to laugh. But laughed harder when Paul finally let himself go and laughed too.

“You almost had me there. It sounded so real that it could almost happen!”

“Hey, Paul, you can drop me off right here.” She pointed towards the bus stand.

“That’s a bus stand? Why do you want to wait at the bus stand for, when you know that a bus may never turn up?” He asked rather confused.

“Silly, this is near to where I live. From this bus stop and cutting through the woods will take me directly to my house.” She gave Paul a reassuring smile. As Paul indicated, Destiny leaned closer towards him and gave a peck on his cheek.

“Once again, thanks for the lift. You take care now, Paul. Don’t fall asleep behind the wheel.” She teased as she got out of the car. His gaze followed her, but then decided to drive off.

Destiny stopped walking and turned round abruptly as her eyes stayed on the car, her eyes were intimidating, but then she turned back round and started heading towards the woods fast.

The straight road seemed everlasting, Paul was becoming rather restless and agitated. It felt like it could go on and on and on forever. His eyelids were becoming heavy, the music unable to amuse him any further. The steering wheel was beginning to feel sweaty and slippery with his anxiousness making him perspire. Slowly his eyes began to close, but he shot them wide open again, he even tried to roll down the window and let the icy wind blast him in his face for a while.

He was fine for a little while, until the heaviness returned, threatening to close his eyelids any moment now. Paul began to indicate to pull over, but then his eyes closed unable to fight the sleep that called for him, he was lost for eternity…

A bright light. A dazzling light. It shined so bright that it hurt to keep the eyelids closed. Slowly but surely the eyelids opened, constantly blinking to adjust to the whereabouts. Paul sat up slightly feeling rather dizzy and unaware of his surroundings. His head hurt like someone whacked him around the head with a baseball bat four times. Where he lay was rough, and hot. When he looked down he realised he was lying upon the road, in the middle of the road.

He got up slowly and slouched down, to rub his knee cap which seemed to hurt. There was smoke all around, the sound of a car horn going off continuously without stopping. Scattered cut tree logs which escaped from their safety net and caused chaos instead.

Cut tree logs?” he tried to recall where he had heard those words before. But nothing came to him. He looked into the general direction of the wreckage and recognised the car.

Crap, that’s my car…” Paul staggered over whilst his hand remained on his knee, tightly. As he approached the car, he noticed one of the cut tree logs had gone through the window, and blood was smeared everywhere, on the windscreen and the dashboard and the seats. He slowly put his head through the window slightly and smelled the blood that lingered up his flared nostrils.

No way! This isn’t real…It can’t be!” The young man stepped back gradually, everything went silent. Dead silent.

“What isn’t real?” Paul turned round abruptly and stared at the young woman which stood before him, her long locks flowing freely with the wind.

“This!” he pointed angrily towards his car, tears began to well in the corner of his eyes, “I can’t be dead!” he yelled at her.

“You are dead, Paul!” She smiled proudly. Paul couldn’t register what he was experiencing, it was like he received a bolt from the blue..

“I remember you. I gave you a lift!”

“Well done. Do you remember my name, Paul?”

“No, I don’t…”

“It’s Destiny…”

“Seriously? Destiny?”

“You said that before too.” She smiled again, “You know, I always have visions before I meet people. Hence my name is Destiny. You can’t out run me or fool me. Whoever is fated to meet Destiny, meets Destiny. Full Stop.” She stepped closer to her victim and gave a wicked smile.

“Have you gone mad, completely gone bonkers?” He shouted hysterically.

“Tonight Paul we were fated to meet…” Her features began to change, her eyes were black and filled with evil, sometimes white flowed into her eyes like something floating in them. She opened her mouth and it morphed into something hideous out of a horror movie, her mouth expanded and long sharp knife like teeth presented themselves. Paul cried and staggered backwards. The girl moved quicker than the eye could see and grabbed the young man tight and bit into his flesh ripping it from his throat. Paul gurgled on his blood when he suddenly fell still and a bright white light consumed him.

Paul immediately awoke in a dark room still screaming and begging for his life. It almost seemed that he was gargling on his own blood. A figure sat on the bed, gentle hands placed on the young man’s temples, blood trickling down the sides. The figure was clad in black. The eyes were filled with complete blackness, and inside of them white wispy shadows floated through them. One stayed there, if you looked closely enough it was a face. It was a soul that was trapped in eternal pit of torment. It screamed and mouthed the words, “help me”.

The boy fell silent, dead silent. The figure detached their hands away from his temples, and the pricking mechanism retracted back into their fingers. The figure put the gloves back on and turned to leave the room. The hood fell off, and long locks presented themselves flowing freely. It was Destiny claiming another soul…

So what do you guy’s think? I don’t know what to call Destiny actually. But if you have ever seen the show “Lost Girl” then I suppose you could say she’s a Dark Fae, but if you have seen the show “Fringe” well I guess you kind of know the type of people they get to see everyday.

Well thanks for reading! 🙂

The Beginning of the End

So this is my first short story on here. It is called “The Beginning of the End”. This was originally from a story that  I was writing. But then I thought this little segment would be great on its own. It is a bit of a dark story as it involves death, or should I say an attempt, but really it isn’t…ok I’ll just let you read it, and you’ll understand what I mean.

The Beginning of the End:

Short Story by: Manvinder Jagdev

Copyright © 2012 – 2013, by Manvinder Jagdev, All Rights Reserved

The wind blew furiously at my face trying to push me away from meeting a devastating death. I stood at the edge of the cliff, arms stretched out wide, ready to embrace heaven.

My eyes being closed for so long, made my eyes water, it seemed I had cried an entire ocean already. My cheeks were numb, sore and cold by the violent wind which constantly tried to force me away from the precipice. I could feel the mascara around my eyes drying and sticking to my delicate flesh. Finally I had the courage to open my eyes. I glanced at the sight before me, the black ocean seemed to summon me, want me, want me like the devil wanted its victims.

I startled. A few stones tumbled down from such a great height that only a minute later it made impact. My eyes stunned, I re-closed them, shut them tightly, and tried to inhale and exhale slowly. I readied myself, I tensed my muscles, bent my knees slightly and that’s when I let myself fly out like a young bird. My body flat against the air.

My body fell downwards, the black ocean getting nearer, I screamed as the adrenaline pulsed through my body like a drug.

Suddenly, something caught hold of my ankle and I’m dangling upside down. I gasped for air trying hard to breathe. All of a sudden I was being pulled up by sheer strength, but I was saved somehow.

I was embarrassed by my decision.

Eventually I was pulled up and safely nestled into somebody’s chest, their chilling arms wrapped around my fragile frame. He smelled like musk and its strong odour wafted up my nose. I pulled my head away from his built chest and glimpsed at his face. It was pale. That was the only word that came to mind to describe him.

“Why do you want to die?” he said soothingly trying to sound supportive and caring.

I closed my eyes, but felt the tears wanting to erupt. My bottom lip quivered.

“I’m dying…” I told him, “I only got a few days left. Why should I prolong my suffering? When I can just end it now” I began to cry.

He pulled me away from him, cupped his hands on my tender cheeks and held my gaze. He had the most beautiful green eyes, just like the jade stone in my pendent.

“If you want to die,” he bent forward and whispered into my ears, “I can show you death.” He added.

My eyes widened with fear from his words, I still felt that I wanted to die, but something within his manner of saying it suggested a darker meaning.

“It will hurt, but afterwards you’ll be pain-free forever and a whole new beginning.” He said.

“Forever. And a whole new beginning..” I repeated.

“Yes. Forever. No more pain and no more illness. Just eternity.” He spoke slowly and gently.

“Eternity? What do you mean by that?” I tried not to sound too alarmed, but in some way, I knew my voice betrayed me.

“You will live forever. Are you scared?”

“No, but confused.”

“You will find out soon enough.” He said. But then he held out his hand, “Take my hand then. I shall show you true death.”

I took his hand and I was enticed by him that I found myself back in his arms again, I could feel the warmth of his cool breath tickling the hairs on my neck. My heart was pounding way out of control. His soft lips brushed against my neck, sending a strange shudder down my spine.

Without warning I felt a sharp pain that stung deep into my neck. Two fangs pierced into my flesh, I felt my blood leaving my body. I felt my entire life force being drained. I began to feel giddy within the confines of his muscular arms. My body began to limp, my heart beat almost non-existent. Eventually it all stopped. I was lifeless…

The negativity of the dream jolted me awake from my sleep. Sweat stuck to me as if I just bathed but haven’t dried myself yet. I was panting, finding it difficult to breathe.

I glanced towards the bedside table and noticed the display on my clock read 2:30am.

The fear bubbled up inside of me; I brought my knees close and hugged them, while my mind seemed to have run off on a trail of thought.

Why would I want to die? My life might be simple, but I feel proud of my existence and all the good things in my life.

Thinking about it just made things worse so I decided to shift my attention back to sleep. As I turned to my left I noticed something strange near my wardrobe. A young man standing right next to the wardrobe shrouded by the darkness of the night. Two green eyes the colour of jade stone shone brightly, the outline of the figure was exactly the same as the boy from my dream. I looked on, an attraction was luring me towards him as if I was hypnotised; but all of a sudden the figure vanished from sight.

Was that an illusion? Or was that me dreaming? I left it to tiredness, I closed my eyes hoping to sleep till 7:30am.

So there you have it! In the longer length version of this story, she is supposed to meet this guy with beautiful green eyes the next morning in school! But I thought how in this version it kind of gave it some mystery.
